Do you think skipping breakfast will help you lose weight?

This is the biggest mistake that people often make when they try to lose weight. Scientists have shown that people who regulary consume a wholesome breakfast, do not have a tendency to put on weight and therefore stay slim. Our metabolism slows during the night. To ensure that the accelerated portion of energy is required you really have to eat your breakfast within an hour after waking up. Otherwise, the metabolism will work idly all day, and therefore burn fewer calories.


Do you think fruits can be eaten without moderation?

Ideally, we should eat them in the morning. You might ask why ? Fruits contain fructose, a simple sugar that is responsible for the accumulation of large amounts of adipose tissue and causes rapid fluctuations in blood sugar levels, and such is often a step to the creation of insulin resistance. Scientists have proven that the fruit eaten in excess, often is the cause of diabetes.


Do you think drinking cold water helps you lose weight?

Studies have shown that drinking adequate amounts of water ( 1 liter for every 1000 calories consumed ) helps in weight loss. Cold water is the most desired. The body needs to heat the cold water to the desired temperature, and thus more energy is expended. Drinking two liters of cold water, will burn an aditional 70 calories per day. It may not seem much; however, when you add up the numbers after about three months, you will get the amount of 7000 calories - the equivalent of 2,0 pounds weight loss.

Remember: always stay hydrated. Drink before you are thirsty to prevent dehydration and early fatigue. Bottom line... if you have dark urine (color of apple juice )you are dehydrated. If it is pale yellow, you are well hydrated.


Where will I find natural source of omega-3 fatty acid?

Fish such as: mackerel, salmon, sardines and trout are one of the greatest sources of protein and omega-3 fatty acid. We need protein at all stages of life for the variety of body functions. It is the major component of all cells including muscle and bone. It is needed for growth as well as immunity to fight off infections and protect the body. So make sure your daily diet contains significant sources of good protein. If you cannot eat fish, you can still get your fix of fish oils from omega-3 supplements.

These food not only contain substances that keep us healthy, but can also help to repair some of the damage done by ageing. Spinach is high in beta-carotene, folic acid, potassium, iron, vitamin B6,vitamin C and magnesium. It regulates blood pressure, boost the immune system and supports bone health. Broccoli is high in calcium,magnesium, phosphorus, vitamins B3 and B5, beta-caroten,vitamin C and folic acid. It cleanses the intestines, stimulates the liver and is a good source of fibre.
